Next stop the Great Wall

We have arranged a private driver for our day trip to the great wall. A luxury of working with folks in China is the ability to have contacts who can provide recommendations! Through a friend at Shanghai we received a recommendation for a driver and we booked him for tomorrow. He speaks english and was very kind to talk to, he will provide private transportation to the great wall and then a side trip to Ming Tomb. Stay tuned for pics from the great wall with karen and I.

Duck Duck Goose

Quack Quack, karen and nick going to eat Peking Duck in Beijing. Eating at the restaurant named "QuanJude" famous for its Peking Duck.

If you ever come to bejing you must try the Peking duck. It is the speciality of Beijing and is to die for. Karen and I went to Quanjude where they specialize in Peking duck, we had the fixed menu which included everything from soup to nuts. The duck was so delcious it melted in your mouth. The waitress had to show us how to eat Peking Duck, you take duck and dip in plum sauce and wrap in pancake and enjoy!

In Beijing

Just a quick post to let you know we made it to Beijing. The flight was about 2 hours. We got in a small nap and had lunch and are getting settled. Arrangements have been made for our trip to the Great Wall. The current internet connection isn't very good, so I will have to try again later. Take care and will update soon. Karen and Nick
